Lanterns Procession

The lanterns procession this year will take place on SATURDAY 24th NOVEMBER at 6.30pm. The lantern making sessions at the Hub have been arranged for the following dates:

TUESDAY 23rd OCTOBER 10am – 12.30 pm

SATURDAY 10th NOVEMBER 2pm – 4.30pm

SATURDAY 17th NOVEMBER 10am – 12.30pm

Future Talks

The Local History Group will be hosting the following talks at the Village Hall:

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 31st – DEREK GORE ‘THE ROMAN CONQUEST AND THE SETTLEMENT OF DEVON (with particular reference to the IPPLEPEN dig)

MONDAY FEBRUARY 25th 2019 – PROFESSOR STEPHEN RIPPON ‘UPDATE ON ALL THE RECENT FINDINGS FROM THIS YEAR’S DIG’

MONDAY JULY 22nd 2019 AGM and talk on a Newton Abbot theme

MONDAY OCTOBER 21st 2019 – TODD GRAY (theme to be arranged)

Italian Gardens

The Local History Group would like to extend a warm thank you to Angela Dodd Crompton for putting together such a well prepared guided tour of the Gardens at Ambrook.

Lanterns Procession

It might seem a tad early to be reminding everyone about this year’s lanterns procession but I shall give you a heads-up anyway so that you can start thinking creatively about the event.
